Cardiac Rehabilitation
Life after cardiovascular surgery or a bout with heart disease can be full of questions. Cardiac rehabilitation can make a big difference physically and emotionally. Our custom-designed exercise and wellness programs get you going again at a pace that is safe and constructive. You could be feeling better than you did prior to your surgery. The experienced team is here close to home, which is important to any rehab program since routine exercise is a big part of recovery.
We have our own Wellness Center located in a building right behind the hospital. Your rehab sessions are specially designed just for you, and you will be monitored carefully. Staff members are here for you physically and emotionally to encourage you in your recovery.
Outpatient Program Details
Cardiac rehabilitation consists of exercise, education and encouragement. The program is ordered by your physician and he/she will direct the initiation of your program. The outpatient program consists of eight to thirty-six visits, depending on the individual. The outpatient program provides an extension of your medical care which seeks to maximize recovery from your heart condition. Studies show that people who participate in an early outpatient program have less complications and greater outcomes than those who are unable to participate. Rehab is coordinated with your physician’s orders and he/she will be updated regarding your progress and participation. The early outpatient phase of rehab may be insurance reimbursable with the appropriate diagnosis.
