MRMC Mammography Achieves Perfect Inspection
5/8/2018
Moberly, MO, May 8, 2018---Moberly Diagnostics’ mammography department underwent its annual Mammography Quality Standards Act Inspection. This was at least the 15th consecutive year the department achieved a perfect inspection with all items in compliance. This inspection report is a testament to the quality work of Moberly Diagnostics’ mammographers Joni Duff, R.T.(R)(M) and Samantha Thomas, R.T.(R)(CT)(BD). This department works diligently to meet the specific needs of the Moberly Area women who visit them each day.
Duff explained, “We understand that for many women, making a mammography visit is often accompanied by some anxiety. So we try to treat every woman as an individual ensuring that she gets the care and attention needed in a timely, compassionate and confidential way. Our Mammography Suite is a comfortable, relaxed and private atmosphere designed with women in mind.”
Ensuring the comfort of patients, while obtaining the best image, is uppermost in Duff’s mind. She uses mammo pads to cushion the pressure exerted by the digital mammography unit. Duff has seen the changes in mammography technology over the years and is amazed at the difference digital mammography has brought to the clarity with which they are able to see densities of images, and the accuracy that it has brought to the diagnosis of her patients.
