MRMC Volunteers Award Scholarship
2/6/2015
Moberly, MO – The MRMC Volunteers have chosen Ms. Christina Deener, practical nursing student at Moberly Area Community College as the spring 2015 recipient of the MRMC $1000 Volunteer Scholarship. The MRMC Volunteers raise money throughout the year with various fundraising events to be able to raise the funds to award scholarships to aspiring MACC students. One or two scholarships are awarded every year to students going into a health-related profession.
Christina aspires to become a board certified practical nurse. She is a student at Moberly Area Community College in the Nursing PN program.
Christina resides in Jacksonvile. She began her interest in healthcare and helping others as a Randolph County First Responder and a Volunteer Firefighter and eventually became an EMT. She is excited to achieve her next goal of becoming a nurse. She and her family are also very active volunteers at the Moberly Animal Shelter.
On behalf of the MRMC Volunteers, we congratulate Christina on her award and wish her continued success in her healthcare career.
The MRMC Volunteers include 35 community members who enjoy giving back to their community. Over 10,000 volunteer hours of service were donated in 2014 to Moberly Regional Medical Center. Interested individuals may call the MRMC Volunteer office at 269-3121 to inquire about volunteer opportunities. We appreciate the tireless efforts they provide to our community and to our hospital.
