Moberly, MO – March 16, 2018 – Dr. Craig McCoy, OB/GYN and Urogynecologist was recently featured in OBG Management, a national publication for his surgical work on laparoscopic management of chronic pelvic pain.
OBG Management is a national publication for OB/GYN surgeons offering information on new and existing procedures, treatments and surgical techniques in that specialty.
The particular case featured in the article and a surgical video of the procedure for other surgeons to view was a female experiencing chronic pelvic pain due to pelvic adhesions. Her uterus also was attached to mesh on her abdominal wall from a previous surgical procedure.
Dr. McCoy used a new surgical technique which utilizes an extremely small radius of cold helium plasma combined with RF energy to ablate areas of the body with limited unintended tissue harm.
